We are all of us in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.
No good movie is too long, and no bad movie is short enough. The only way to deal with the future is to function in the present. I believe that if you take a film seriously, it will take you seriously. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. I am not a critic. I am a fan. A film is not about what it is about. It is about how it is about it. Your intellect may be confused, but your emotions will never lie to you. The movies are like a machine that generates empathy. The best way to watch a movie is to watch it with someone who loves it. |
