The human whose name is written in this note shall die.
If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the person's name, it will happen. If the cause of death is not specified, the person will simply die of a heart attack. This note will not take effect unless the writer has the person's face in their mind when writing his/her name. After writing the cause of death, details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds. The Death Note will not work on humans whose names have been misspelled four times. Fake rules can be written in the Death Note by Shinigami. The human who uses this note can neither go to Heaven nor Hell. If the same name is written in more than one Death Note, the note which was used first will take effect. A Shinigami can extend their own life by writing human names in the Death Note. The Death Note will become the property of the human world, once it touches the ground of (arrives in) the human world. The Death Note will not affect those under 780 days old. If the Death Note is destroyed, all humans who have touched it will lose their memories related to it. If the same name is written in two or more Death Notes within a 0.06-second difference, the entry is regarded as simultaneous; the Death Note will not take effect and the individual will not die. The owner of the note can recognize the image and voice of its original owner, i.e., a god of death. A human cannot gain the remaining lifespan of a person they kill using the Death Note. |
