gptkbp:famous_quote |
Be the change that you wish to see in the world.
Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind. In a gentle way, you can shake the world. The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will. The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. A 'no' uttered from the deepest conviction is better than a 'yes' merely uttered to please. What you do may seem insignificant, but it is most important that you do it. You must be the change you wish to see in the world. Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes. The future depends on what you do today. Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony. You can chain me, you can torture me, you can even destroy this body, but you will never imprison my mind. To believe in something, and not to live it, is dishonest. Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed. There is no path to peace. Peace is the path. The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. I have nothing new to teach the world. Truth and non-violence are as old as the hills. It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver. |
