The "Nandor who turned aside at the Misty Mountains" were a branch of the Telerin Elves in Tolkien’s legendarium who abandoned the Great Journey to Valinor and later became known for dwelling east of the Misty Mountains and, in part, for giving rise to the Green-elves of Ossiriand.
