The Mithridatic massacre of Romans and Italians in Asia, also known as the Asiatic Vespers, was a coordinated slaughter ordered by King Mithridates VI in 88 BC that killed tens of thousands of Roman and Italian residents across the cities of Roman Asia Minor.
